High Lickbarrow Farm, near Windermere (English Lake District) is a traditional Lakeland farmhouse and was donated to the National Trust in 2015. It was the former home of the artist Michael Bottomley and his wife Elizabeth. The farmhouse is left as it was by the couple and is a glimpse into their life in the farmhouse for 70 years. I was able to book some time there and wanted to make some images to capture the atmosphere and possessions. I could have spent much longer becoming immersed in the history and private life of the couple and will hopefully books some more time there next year.
