I’m Dayve Ward, a UK-based professional product photographer with a long-established career in commercial photography. Alongside my commissioned work, I pursue personal photographic projects that reflect my lifelong passion for visual storytelling, many of which you’ll find showcased here.
Photography has always been my way of exploring the world. I’m inspired by light, structure, colour, and texture; the subtle details that shape how we see and experience our surroundings. These elements guide every photograph I create, whether I’m working in the studio or out on location.
Living in Cumbria offers endless creative inspiration. The shifting light across the fells, lakes, and wide open spaces brings a calm, atmospheric quality to much of my work. In contrast, I’m equally drawn to the dynamism of urban environments, where movement, colour, and architectural forms bring a completely different energy. I also have a fascination with forgotten and timeworn places; abandoned buildings, industrial remnants, and objects with stories etched into their surfaces.
Across all my photography, my aim is to convey more than just the subject itself. I strive to capture the mood, presence, and emotion of a moment; the sense of place that transforms an image into an experience.
